Conseil National du Cuir
Created in 1948, the National Leather Council is the inter-professional organisation of producers and users of leather and, by extension, all those involved in the production, use or retail of leather. Organised as a Confederation, it brings together 20 federations and professional unions from the French leather industry.

Cotance

Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations that leads international efforts to defeat hunger. With over 194 member states, FAO works in over 130 countries worldwide.
 
International Council of Hides, Skins and Leather Traders Association (ICHSLTA)
The International Council of Hides, Skins and Leather Traders Association represents the interests of the hide, skins and leather trades of more than 30 countries and its principal objective is the promotion, development and protection of the international trade in raw hides, skins and leathers.

International Council of Tanners (ICT)
ICT is the Global organisation for the leather producing industry. ICT was established in 1926, when there was a pressing need to establish a uniform International Contract for the buying and selling of hides, skins and leather in order to facilitate, regulate and promote international trade in the sector. 

International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Society (IULTCS​)
The IULTCS is founded for the purpose of encouraging the technology, chemistry, and science of leather on a worldwide basis.

Leather UK
Leather UK represents and promotes the interests of those who produce, support, supply and use leather in the UK.

Leather Working Group (LWG) ​
The LWG is made up of member brands, retailers, product manufacturers, leather manufacturers, chemical suppliers and technical experts that work together to maintain an environmental stewardship protocol specifically for the leather manufacturing industry.

UNIDO Leather Panel
The UNIDO Leather and Leather Products Industry Panel is the UNIDO global forum for technical assistance programmes dealing with the leather-based industry sector. The Leather Panel provides information on good practices in small-scale manufacturing as well as professional training and pollution control procedures in the leather, footwear and leather products industries.
