Testex AG

TESTEX is an independent Swiss testing and certification institute with a focus on textile and leather testing.

Sustainability, transparency and ethical standards are core principles to which TESTEX, as a part of the OEKO-TEX® association, is committed.

Founded in 1846, TESTEX is a globally operating and independent Swiss testing and certification company. In addition to its Swiss headquarters in Zurich, the TESTEX Group has 26 branches worldwide.

As a member of the OEKO-TEX® association since 1993, TESTEX offers companies of the textile and leather industry a range of certifications and services to have their products tested for harmful substances and to optimize their production conditions and their supply chains with regard to sustainability.

On the basis of a scientifically based catalogue of criteria and neutral laboratory tests, companies in the supply chain are given targeted support in implementing the human-ecological product safety they are striving for.

For leather articles at all stages of production, the LEATHER STANDARD by OEKO-TEX® is the only product certification of its kind on the market that tests such a wide range of chemicals for harmful substances. It is complemented by STeP by OEKO-TEX®, a modular certification system based on 6 modules whose goal is the permanent implementation of environmentally friendly production processes, the improvement of health and safety and the promotion of socially responsible working conditions in companies along the entire supply chain.

TESTEX strives for excellence in environmental performance which requires a continuous exchange with stakeholders, industry initiatives and monitoring of legal regulations to achieve international validity, and test criteria and limit values are either in conformance with or go far beyond national and international regulations.
