Pakistan Tanners Association (PTA) was established in late 50s. Its Central Office is situated at Defence Housing Authority, Karachi representing the leather industry and dealing with the members’ problems at Federal level.
Two Zonal Offices namely PTA (Southern Zone) at Korangi Industrial Area, Karachi representing of Sindh and Baluchistan Provinces and PTA Northern Zone at Lahore which represents Punjab Province, NWFP, Northern Area and A.J.K for looking after the affairs of PTA’s members at their respective zonal level.
NVLST
NVLST, the Dutch Association of Leather Chemists and Technicians, is aimed at all persons from the leather and leather processing industry the opportunity to give experience and knowledge and to exchange information.

The Swedish Tannery Association represents tanneries and dressers with production in Sweden and furthers their shared national and international interests except in matters involving the relations between member employers and their employees.
We add value for our members by offering support, advice and information. We strive for a unified business sector and create opportunities for communication, networking and cooperation. We protect and advance the identity of leather and strive for a future for the leather industry in Sweden.

We represent, promote and connect the interests of those individuals and businesses who produce, support, supply and use leather in the UK.
Leather UK is committed to protecting the unique identity of leather as a sustainable and beautiful product and working together as one united sector to promote the UK leather brand at home and abroad.
The UK leather industry manufactures a diverse range of world class quality leather for numerous applications. We provide an array of services to our members, including business support and networking. We represent the entire UK leather industry at a national and international level through utilising our membership of affiliated organisations to broaden and add strength to our own representations in the UK and Europe.
We provide an information and enquiry service on issues affecting the industry; and have developed an online Leather UK Directory containing details of businesses, events and training opportunities, in addition to our member events programme operating several regional and national events annually.
We also produce consumer education campaigns; industry-focused PR and marketing. We influence education faculties to support and develop the next generation of leather technologists and design and fashion students. We are co-developing creative business incubator hubs to nurture emerging designers and craftspeople. The provision of our two industry trust funds enable individuals to apply for bursaries for industry-relevant training and travel.
Our members contribute to our work to protect the identity of leather, to challenge the mistruths spread by agenda organisations, to promote leather as a sustainable and beautiful product, and support our lobbying activities to ensure that the voice of industry is heard by government, both nationally and internationally

Leather Working Group Ltd
Brands, retailers and leather manufacturers are encouraged to shape the future of LWG and the industry through active membership and participation in world-leading projects.
Leather Working Group (LWG) is a not-for-profit global standards organization, representing a quarter of the world’s finished leather production, with audited sites in 55 countries. We actively encourage dialogue among our diverse global community of 1,500 members representing the breadth of the leather supply chain, from meat processors to retail.
LWG is committed to promoting the positive aspects of leather and our impact is felt across all elements of the leather value chain including environmental auditing, traceability, social responsibility, animal welfare, chemical management, deforestation, and the environmental impact of leather production.
With our internationally renowned ESG certification, LWG is the overarching standard for leather manufacturing, providing members with accurate metrics and data-driven insights, as well as enhanced supply chain transparency.
Our members are encouraged to shape the future of sustainable leather production through active participation in the organisation. Members also have access to an online resource hub featuring scientific sustainability content as well as access to support on public promotion of commitments to responsible leather sourcing.
2021 has seen the launch of significant projects including the development of the world’s single largest LCA and the world’s largest leather supply chain mapping project in collaboration with NGO and academic partners.
LWG endeavours to provide greater collaboration across all sectors on behalf of and in the best interests of our brands and members and encourages communication with consumers to positively change the narrative together for leather.

CTIC - Leather Technology Center in Portugal, was founded in 1992, in a joint initiative of leather companies, with the Portuguese State.
Currently with a team of 26 qualified professionals, and supported by its ISO 17025 accredited Laboratories, CTIC offers a very wide range of services in key areas such as Innovation and Technological Development, Sustainability, Circular Economy, Environment, Energy Efficiency, Safety Work, Food Security and Management SystemsCertification, complemented by a GAPI - Office for the Support of Industrial Property Promotion.
In the area of Management Systems, CTIC has an accumulated experience of over twenty years in supporting the implementation in companies from different sectors of activity and of different dimensions, including Quality - ISO 9001, Environment - ISO 14001, Safety and Health - OSHAS 18001, Food Security - ISO 22000, as well as Integrated
Systems.Knowing the importance of Vocational Training to increase the productivity of employees and, consequently, the competitiveness of companies, CTIC is officially recognized for this purpose.
In order to always be at the forefront of the most recent technological developments, CTIC invests in carrying out R&D Projects, in collaboration with entities from the national and European scientific and technological system, transferring the developed know-how to companies.
Another aspect to be highlighted is the contribution to the elaboration of Portuguese and International Standards, as Sectorial Standardization Body - ONS, participating in the work of CEN - European Committee for Standardization.
